In two exhibitions, Kunstsammlung NRW presents early and late works by the artist and sculptor Isa Genzken. “Works from 1973 to 1983” at K20 shows, among other things, her Elipsoids and Hyperbolos group of works - over-dimensional wooden sculptures that were generated by a computer, along with the accompanying preliminary studies that depict the conceptual background and considerations of the artist. At K21 we see current works by Isa Genzken. In her complex and multi-layered works, the artist processes partly autobiographical events, addresses poverty and homelessness, and always draws the viewer into the scenery.
